While the crock is safe for use in the microwave and dishwasher, it is not intended for use on a stovetop or under a broiler.
With two cook settings, low and high, the pot can slow cook a wide variety of stews, roasts, and soups, recipes for which are included in the owner's guide. The glass lid, also dishwasher-safe, sends moisture back into the pot while at the same time allows contents to be viewed.
